Colin puts on the pounds after slimming for movie

A TEAM of medics is monitoring movie star Colin Farrell (32) as he attempts to re-gain all the weight he lost for his new flick 'Triage'.
The Irish hunk shocked his fans when he was snapped looking extremely gaunt on the set of his film after shedding more than two stone for his role as a photo-journalist in war-torn Bosnia.
Clearly one star dedicated to his art, he was so determined to play the part convincingly that he thought nothing of embarking on a radical diet in order to transform his body into a shadow of his former self.
But now that filming is almost complete, a source on the set has revealed that Farrell has been placed under strict medical supervision to make sure he puts back on the weight in the correct manner.
"You have to be extremely careful when you lose that much weight in a short amount of time and you have to be equally careful when you start putting it back on to ensure that you don't put on too much," said a source.
"Colin's slowly but surely started to put the weight back on. He found it really, really tough, pushing himself like that and no-one will be happier than him when he can start to eat properly again.
"He is under medical supervision for his weight re-gain as it all has to be monitored carefully."
Although countless Irish calorie counters would no doubt love to know how he lost such a large amount of weight, Farrell's keeping tight lipped as to his special diet, only commenting that it was all "very healthy."
Like most other top actors, Farrell is well accustomed to shedding the pounds and also piling them on, depending on his role. He beefed up considerably to play the leading man in Oliver Stone's historical epic 'Alexander.'
Filming on 'Triage' comes to an end next week, after which Farrell will embark on a promotional tour for his new movie with Woody Allen 'Cassandra's Dream.'
His gorgeous co-star Paz Vega, who plays Elena Morales, left Dublin this week to return to her native Spain to pick up her Freedom of the City award in her home city of Seville.
She and Colin recently set tongues wagging after being snapped having an intimate moment in Alicante.
Farrell was pictured tenderly rubbing her arm.
The €10m film is the brainchild of Bosnian film-maker Danis Tanovic whose 2001 offering 'No Man's Land' picked up an Oscar for best foreign film.
The movie's set in both Dublin and Kurdistan and tells the story of an Irish photographer who returns home after working as a war correspondent in Kurdistan and also stars legendary British actor Christopher Lee.
Farrell took more than six months off last year after doing a string of films back-to-back but is now back on a career high, thanks to the success of surprise hit 'In Bruges.'
