Infinity Features' film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is back on track after the loss of one of its stars, Heath Ledger, who died Jan. 22 of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will be taking over for Ledger.
The realistic scenes in the fantasy/adventure, which included Ledger, were shot last year in the U.K. Ledger's death forced director Terry Gilliam to rework the story. Now Depp, Farrell and Law are coming to Vancouver for the studio portion of the film in which they play fantasy world versions of Ledger's character.

The cast of the film, which follows a travelling theatre troupe with Ledger playing a new and mysterious member, also includes Christopher Plummer, Verne Troyer, Andrew Garfield, Lily Cole and Tom Waits.
Gilliam issued a touching statement expressing his gratitude to Depp, Farrell and Law for coming on board and paying tribute to Ledger. "I am delighted that Heath's brilliant performance can be shared with the world. We are looking forward to finishing the movie and, through the film, with a modicum of humility, being able to touch people's hearts and souls as Heath was able to do."
While here this week, Gilliam took a detour over to Electronic Arts's Burnaby campus. He spent some time with the team making the new FIFA game, seeing all their technology. He then spent some time in the motion capture studio learning how the company does mocap and seeing some shoots in action.
He was both fascinated and impressed, which is pretty much the reaction of anyone who visits the campus.
