As far as I know, I do not think Colin read fan letters.
THEN WHY THE HECK DOES HE EVEN HAVE A FAN SITE OR A MAILING ADDRESS? IF HE DOESN'T WANT ANY FAN MAIL, THEN HE SHOULD JUST SAY HEY, I DO NOT WANT ANY LETTERS! I MEAN I LOVE COLIN FARRELL, AND WOULD LOVE TO MEET HIM SOME DAY, BUT WHY LET PEOPLE THINK THAT COLIN IS ANSWERING THEIR LETTERS WHEN IT IS REALLY HIS AGENT? HE SHOULD HAVE THE COURAGE TO GO ON HIS WEBSITE A COUPLE TIMES OR RESPOND TO SOME LETTERS A COUPLE TIMES. SAY HI TO HIM FOR ME IF YOU CAN. MY NAME IS MEGHAN ABELL. I AM 75% IRISH, AND I ALSO LIKE THE BOOK "WHEN NIETZCSHE WEPT." I HAVEN'T FINISHED IT YET (I KNOW HE LIKES THAT BOOK). THANKS SO MUCH! HAVE A GOOD DAY.

First of all.. Colin Farrell is not nor ever has been associated with this site in anyway. He has no obligation to visit here or post here. Of course it would be great if he did, and I know that he is "aware" of this site..but this site is not run by Colin or by anyone working for Colin!
As for fanmail.. His fanmail has always gone through his agent. I'm not a big one for writing letters to celebrities..so I've never written myself. I have no clue if he ever gets around to answering them. I can tell you that other celebrities either have mail services handle thier fan mail (the celebrity hardly ever even sees the mail) or if they try to answer themselves.. they are backlogged over 6 months.
Try to imagine the amount of fan mail that popular celebrities get.. then think about what thier filming and PR schedule is like.. I wouldn't be too hard on them for not answering letters in a timely manner. It's an impossiblility.
PS. Just a reminder that using ALL CAPs on the internet is read as Yelling;)

And what if he doesn't read his fanmail,i mean it's OKAY people...no biggie.I really like him and admire him in everyway and i dun care if he doesn't answer any of my letters(thought i never did send anything)But i'm sure that if he actually HAD the time he would definitely try and read and respond. He's very sweet and cares about his fans.
But jst to tell u guys,if anyone has the alexander dvd(not the director's cut one)he says in an interview that he does NOT visit any websites dedicated to him,it's his agent or manager or something like that.

I just wanted to tell you a story about one russian actor.OF COURSE he is not that famous all over the world and does not have that many fans like our man,but still in Russia almost everyone knows him by now.He became popular recently, just about 1 year ago.He has an official site in internet and a forum as well.I am a part of this forum.So...closer to the subject....maybe because he has been a celebrity not for a long time, maybe because he is so young (21 years old), but he visits the site and reads the forum every week.We have a topic there which is called "Question-answer" (he suggested himself that we should make it). There he answers our questions. We also arranged "forum meetings" and he took part in them.He is very nice and clever and likes talking to us,some of us( and also me))) have his mobile phone number and sometimes call him if we want to chat with him...he never gets angry and likes keeping in touch with his fans.
I was just thinking that it would be soooooooo great if Colin sometimes visited this forum...i meen i know that he is too busy and that it is almost impossible....but some stars do....it's a pity he doesn't know how to use internet(((
Or you know, some of our russian stars sometimes arrange on-line forums, where they chat with their fans on-line and answer their questions.I wish it could be so with Colin
But anyway I understand everything and in no way condemn him for not visiting the site.

Hello,
I hope all of Colin's fan are doing great.
I just registered to this site and was reading some of your comments about wether or not he is reading
his letters.
I agree that he should read at least the letters that his agent receives for him because fans are the ones who help him be one of the most wanted actors. Nonetheless, most actors do not read their letters, and especially the mesages posted on fan sites because there are so many sites on the web that it would take them forever.
My questions are: 1 -what address do you have to write to him (or his agent)?
2 - How do you manage to know where he is, what events will he attend, etc

Indeed, I have always wondered how all these fans manage to know where and when Colin will, including for instance how to know dates and places of movies' premieres.
So, my questions are: what are your sources of information?
Is such information posted on the website ? And how will you let us know about upcoming public appearances?
I of course have no intention to invade Colin's private life, which I totally respect. I just would love to see him again and hopefully get the chance to say "Hello", which I couldn't last year when he was at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel where I was working.

And of course some info comes from news.. that either the admins find themselves, or if it's in another country, sometimes members share things ( for instance... a member has been sharing info on Colin's current visit to Shanghai)
We will always announce any info we get on PUBLIC appearances in the Site Update section (The site updates section automatically shows up on the index page of the main CFF site)..with as much info as we have. We don't ever hide any info on public events.
If we happen to gather info on where Colin may be on his personal time.. we will not share that ever.
We only will mention it "after the fact".
We are also leery of announcing too much info on filming locations. General info is ok.. like "filming in NYC" or "in Brussels early next year".. however, we don't like to get specific. For example.. when Colin was filming Pride and Glory in NYC .. someone was posting some very specific location and time info..we deleted that thread.
So again, all I can tell you is that if we know about Public appearances.. it will be prominently displayed on the site.

- When the Production Asst on Miami Vice wanted to advertise the "Leave Colin Alone" T shirts.. "Colin's People" suggested that she contact me.
- When some members from here have met him, they have mentioned the site to him
- I sent both confirmation of our donation to WFP in his grandfather's name and our book of well wishes last December.. to Coliin via his agent.
Wether Colin ever actually "visits" .. I have no clue. However I do think that some people who work for him probably check it out once in awhile.
