CFF '08-'09 Support Drive

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who contributed in the 2007-2008 Support Drive.

As always, the staff at CFF wants you to know that if it was not for our generous members.. this site would not exist.

CFF is currently on a server with two other fansites. CFF has the highest usage of bandwidth and server resources. It also has a much larger membership. The cost for the dedicated server is $203.31 quarterly. Some of this cost is off set by various ad banners on CFF and the other sites on this server (amazon.com, google ads, cafe press etc). Right now the Amazon and Google income is fairly evenly split among the three sites. The google income is averaging about $30 a quarter for each site. This is up from last year. We get paid about a month after the total earned reaches $100. We are due our next payment hopefully in early November. The income from Amazon is also up this year from last's year total. The total is usually about $15.00 a month. It is also split fairly evenly among the sites. However these totals do not generate enough income to support the site. That is why we rely on the generous support of our members

As in the past..there is no "minimum" donation required. Whatever you can afford is fine. No donation is too small. In past years one of our moderators came up with $24 a year as a goal amount. We realize that not everyone can afford that..and we thank those who are able to pay more than the goal amount.

Also, if you cannot donate right now, that is fine. We accept donations all through the year. We make payments quarterly on Aug 1, Nov 1, Feb 1 and May 1. So if you cannot donate whatever the next payment date is.., you can donate later ..in time for the payment after that.

Again, this year, anyone who donates any amount and is a member of the forum,
will have a Financial Supporter banner under their avatar as an added rank.

As in the past, I would like to express my gratitude to the people who frequent this site and support it in all ways. I could never run this site without everyone's help, financially, emotionally and with submissions of news and scans. Most of you know that I started this back in 2001 as a hobby and as a way to learn website design it took on a life of it's own..and has grown to the be the large successful site that is today with the support of many, many people. The members at this site have become a "second family" to me ..and I think alot of you feel the same way. It is a great group of fans and I know that Colin appreciates that. But most of all... I want you to now how much I appreciate you all!!
