“Triage” Trailer and Rome Int Film Fest Update

“Triage” premiered at The Rome International Film Festival today, but Colin did not attend. We had heard that he had cancelled but we are not sure of the cause. There was some speculation that it had something to do with Alicja’s pregnancy, but I’m not sure if it’s actually “waiting for the birth” as the article below states. Whatever the cause was, we hope that all is well with Colin and Alicja and the baby.

Big chill at start of Rome film fest
Paz Vega turns out for ‘Triage’ red carpet premiere

ROME — The fourth Rome International Film Festival got under way Thursday with the in-competition European premiere of “Triage” from Danis Tanovic, but cool temperatures and a no-show from the film’s star, Colin Farrell, limited interest in the red carpet.

Temperatures dipped to an unseasonably cool 46 degrees for the first night on the red carpet, with similarly cool temperatures predicted for the next several evenings.

In the absence of Farrell, who skipped Rome to await the birth of his child, it was left to co-star Paz Vega to add some sizzle to the evening, and she did, lingering on the red carpet in a sexy black dress, to the delight of autograph-seeking fans and the Italian paparazzi.

Christopher Lee, another of the film’s stars, was also on hand for the red carpet opening, along with Tanovic, whose 2001 film “No Man’s Land” won the Oscar for best foreign-language film.

Friday will be the first full day for the festival, which concludes Oct. 23.

Thanks to Jodelle for posting the “Triage” trailer on YouTube. It sure looks like it is going to be an emotional film!

    Hi :)
Glad yall were able to snag the trailer, it’s really quite good and powerful stuff indeed. Fingers crossed we will get to see this at some point in the US!

I think we saw a shorter version of this on the red carpet press, but I spotted this (newish) clip of Colin with the doctor and that horrific shooting scene here if you or jodelle or whoever wants to add this to your collection?

I just watched the trailer for “Triage” and I was blown away! It brought tears to my eyes. I read the book and it was very moving. Already I can see this is going to be a powerful film and Colin, man, what can I say about this beautiful, talented creature? With every film he never fails to amaze me. When he’s got a movie coming out, I am always so excited I can’t sit still. And my excitement is amped up with the coming of this one. Can you all smell that? Smells like an Oscar to me!!

This looks to be a very raw and emotional movie. Can’t wait to see it. I’m sure we’ll see Colin as never before but always outstanding!
