The Playlist has gleaned some new info concerning “Fright Night” from a Variety article on women in Hollywood. “Fright Night’s” writer, Marti Noxon, was interviewed for the article and gave us the following:
- He’s (Colin’s character, Jerry Dandridge) a much more ‘Jaws’-like vampire in the Amblin tradition,” Noxon told Variety. The remake will also reportedly be set in Las Vegas with production set to begin as soon as later this summer. Still no word, however, on whether rumors of the film going meta, with the protagonist reaching out to an actor from the original film for help with his vampire problems, are true.
