 Colin Farrell and Pride & Glory co-star, Edward Norton, have been announced as expected guests at the 33rd Toronto International Film Festival next month. "Pride & Glory" has been announced as one of the 11 featured "Gala Presentations". The festival runs Sept 4 - 13. As part of TIFF08, 312 films from 64 countries will screen, including 249 feature-length films, 76 per cent of which are world, international or North American premieres, and 61 of which are feature directorial debuts. In a recent profile of Phillip Noyce there is a small mention of "Dirt Music" .. almost as an "aside" at the end of the article. It says.... "Noyce informs that Dirt Music is still scheduled for September next year." Now we won't know for sure if Colin is still attached to this project until closer to that date. Often when films get put off as this did ( originally scheduled to film Aug 07), the original stars get committed to other projects and cast changes are made. Warner Home Video is releasing a new "extended cut" of "The New World" on 14 Oct 2008. This is from DVDActive.com QUOTE The Terrence Malick directed film will be available to own from the 14th October, and should retail at around $19.97. The 172 minute cut will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 Surround tracks. The only extra material will be a comprehensive ten-part documentary which captures the unique challenges of creating the historic epic, and a digital copy of the film.

A few sources are reporting that the "Pride & Glory" release date has been moved up from "early 2009" to October 2008! Here is the info from the DailyNews.com QUOTE Good news for the thousands of film fans who signed an online petition to save "Pride and Glory" from limbo. The New York cop film, starring Edward Norton, Colin Farrell, and Noah Emmerich, had trailers in theaters in March, but was put off for two years during New Line's troubles. An homage to honest cops, the film — written and directed by Gavin O'Connor, whose dad was an NYPD detective — will now be out in October, thanks to Warner Bros. taking over distribution, Warner spokeswoman Debbie Nathin told us.

We don't usually write "editorial" type posts on this site, but in this instance we feel the need to clear up some rumors. Recently new photos of Colin emerged that show him wearing a "band" type ring on his left ring finger. This sparked all kinds of marriage rumors on the gossip sites. We didn't bother posting any of them because we never thought they were anything more than wild speculation. The same thing happened a couple of years ago when Colin was dating Lake Bell and was spotted wearing a similar ring. He wasn't married then and we had no reason to believe he was married now. Colin wears alot of jewelry and has over the years often worn rings on his left hand. But, I guess if the gossip sites couldn't make up stories based on vague evidence.. they wouldn't be in business. Thanks to the site x17online.com for not only taking the time to contact Colin's rep, but also for doing alittle research and showing that he has worn "non-wedding" rings in the past. Way to go x17online.com ! Colin's rep did verify to x17online.com that Colin is NOT married. It would be nice to think that this will put an end to the rumors, but I'm afraid that is just "wishful thinking" on our part.
